Depaul USA operates a free medical clinic to provide homeless men and women with access to health care and additional resources.
Medical Clinic
Depaul USA’s day resource center in Macon offers a free health clinic. The clinic:
- Serves those without medical insurance
- Alleviates immediate suffering
- Helps patients maintain and improve their health to avoid hospitalization
- Helps patients manage colds, wounds, diabetes, hypertension, and other ailments
- Hosts HIV clinics and educational programs
- Connects patients to doctors for additional services
- Provides transportation to external medical appointments
- Includes dental and chiropractic care
Sheridan Center
Depaul USA—Macon recently opened the Sheridan Center and its medical respite. The Sheridan Center:
- Offers physical and mental healthcare
- Provides dental care
- Has 12 beds for recovery after an individual exits any Macon hospital without a home to return to
