Chicago Dax

Chicago Dax assists students from Depaul University and City Colleges of Chicago of all age ranges. After referral from their school advisors, these students are housed and supported through their college career to avoid ever having another economically driven homeless episode again.

Program Overview

In 2015, Depaul USA created the Dax Program to assist college students facing either housing insecurity or homelessness. According to the Federal Student Aid, approximately 68,000 U.S. college students experience homelessness in some form yearly. Due to this silent crisis, Depaul USA is leading the way in shining light on this issue and the individuals it impacts.

With my health issues and school, I feel good knowing that I don't have to worry about my housing situation, and I can focus on my studies. I'm so glad programs like this exist and thank you.

Being at Cecilia House has truly changed my life and I will always be indebted to the Dax Program for helping me in my time of need.
